Born: December 29, 1896 in Santa Rosalía (now Ciudad Camargo), Chihuahua (Mexico) - he died in Cuernavaca on January 6, 1974, and was buried in the Rotunda of the Illustrious Men.

Studies: He studied at the School of Fine Arts of Mexico and the school of Santa Anita in this city.

Experience: In 1914 he joined the Mexican Revolution reaching the rank of Colonel in the Constitutionalist Army. He took part in the revival of fresco painting carried out under government patronage of mural decorations in public buildings. He was one of the three greats of Mexican muralism along with José Clemente Orozco and Diego Rivera. He resided in Paris, Barcelona and the United States. He was part of the Mexican Communist Party and founded the newspaper El Machete. He is imprisoned seven times and others exiled because of his Marxist-Stalinist ideology. Participates in the revolutions against Huerta and fought on the Republican side in the Spanish Civil War where he reached the rank of colonel in the International Brigades. Between 1936-37, he worked in New York forming a school called "El Estudio Experimental de Siqueiros".
His most outstanding works are: March of Humanity (1971), which decorates the walls of the Hotel de México and occupies an area of ​​4,600 m2 of articulated panels, and Porfirismo a la revolución, of 4,500 m2, in the History Museum National of Mexico City.

Awards: He was awarded the National Art Award of Mexico and the Lenin Peace Prize.
